FOREWORD: Travis, a certified CPA in Golden was looking for a mark that symbolized the town and his love for fly fishing. He wanted a brand with a western vibe, illustrative and organic yet modern.
SETTING: My process for Freestone called for local landscapes and trout-out-of-water illustrating. So I headed to Clear Creek, sat on a freestone and sketched away. End result is a trout leaping out of the creek as a shadow of South Table Mountain below the iconic Castle Rock–all staples in downtown Golden.
